North East ISD counselor Vera Perez and her summer school students adopted a nutrition staff. The students surprised the El Dorado Elementary School cafeteria staff with gifts of appreciation.“Our class wanted to rise to the challenge and to take a moment to spread kindness for someone else,” said Perez. “Our schools have staff members on the frontlines ensuring that our children are fed and taken care of.”
North East ISD cafeteria staff work tirelessly every day and throughout the pandemic. They served over two million meals to district students since campus closures began in March.
The hard-working staff received self-care packages of relaxing teas, bubble bath, and thank you letters.
